"I have always had a wonderful experience at the animal clinic. Prompt service polite professional environment and most of all the best nail service available. You know how it is to find your home, Smokey Mountain Animal Clinic is my family pets home. Thank you for such caring service. "
"Doctor Hill saved our Alaskan Malamute’s life. He was in terrible condition when we retired to Sevierville. The Vets Kota had been to did not have the knowledge of large dogs as Doctor Hill has. She immediately discovered his Thyroid condition and he is beautiful and healthy once again! We would recommend this clinic to anyone!"
" Very clean facilities, Very helpful and knowledgeable staff "
Excellent in every way! I was able to get my elderly kitty in to see a doctor within hours for a sudden, painful and severe tooth abscess. The doctor gave a second opinion that was extremely favorable, both to the health of my kitty, and my pocketbook. Extremely compassionate care and concern for the overall health of my little gal. Offering curbside only service at this time due to the virus. They took great care of her to and from the car with no fuss. Interaction with all of the staff was top shelf!
"They are wonderful with my dogs. Love this clinic!!!-"
" They've always been great to my critters.. very helpful and knowledgeable .. compassionate and understanding.. thank u all for taking such good care of our babies!"

She lives with her husband, numerous cats, a German shepherd, and a goofy golden retriever. Interests include nature photography and reading historical nonfiction. *Hair color may vary!

This is the most important aspect of veterinary care. It gives the doctor the chance to examine the pet from head to toe and survey for hidden signs of disease (dental tartar, skin allergies, external parasites, arthritis, obesity) and the chance to discuss any concerns you may have (diet, exercise, weight gain, excessive drinking, new behaviors)
Our yearly visits start with an assessment by the veterinarian to determine if your pet is healthy enough to receive and respond to a vaccine and to determine what vaccines are necessary for each individual patient.
We also assess what laboratory testing is needed based on lifestyle and age of the pet. This could just be a simple heartworm test or we may recommend a full panel of blood chemistries, hormone testing, and blood cell counts.
Boarding and grooming services have been discontinued until further notice
Our clinic is proud to offer both in-house diagnostic and economical off-site lab services
Just 3 drops of blood required
Most intestinal worms aren't visible in your pet's bowel movements. We use the microscope to search for eggs instead!
This diagnostic is useful for fetal heartrates and visualizing organs like the heart, bladder, kidneys, intestines, and liver.
Get a microscopic diagnosis from ear swabs, skin scrapes and fine needle aspirate of lumps and bumps
Important pre-surgery and geriatric screenings for things like kidney disease, liver dysfunction, and diabetes
Complete blood counts let us see if your pet is anemic or if they are developing high white blood cell counts
Our clinic offers everything from routine spays and neuters to complicated tumor removals. We have 2 surgical suites fitted with LED lighting and patient blood pressure and heart rate monitoring.
This requires your pet to be put under anesthesia and involves scaling and polishing away any tartar above and below the gum line.
If a tooth is fractured or has root disease it may be best to remove the tooth
Our vets are well-versed in treated a wide range of illnesses including diabetes, chronic allergies, cancer, glaucoma, kidney disease and many more!
Our doctors love diet-counseling for pets!
Arthritis is one of the most common ailments we see. Our doctors focus treatment on effective supplements, pain management and weight loss. Ask about cutting edge monthly arthritis pain injections for cats (solensia) and Dogs (Librela).
East Tennessee can wreak havoc on the skin and ears of pollen sensitive pets. Let us help put out the itchy flair-ups and create a preventative plan. Our clinic proudly carries a once a month anti-body shot for chronically itchy pets in addition to oral medications, long lasting ear treatments, topical shampoos and mousses for whatever fits your lifestyle.
Our vets provide compassionate end of life advice and services for pets and their owners.
If the decision has been reached to let your pet go we offer pre-euthanasia sedation for the pet and a private room for the family.
We work with local crematories to make sure your pet's remains are handled with respect and care.
This is just a sampling of what we offer - please call the clinic if you would like to learn more or to make an appointment!
